A venue built only for dinners will carry the second half and turn the first into awkward toasts over the noise of the room. One built only for conferences does the opposite.
A stage and screens for the formal part
A speech from the director, the year in figures, a film about the company, an award being handed over — all of it depends on the speaker being visible and audible from the back of the room.
There is a full stage here, LED screens and professional sound: a place to present from, not a microphone on a stand by the wall. Slides and video play without a portable projector and a sheet.
Moving to the informal half without a gap
The most fragile moment of the evening is the changeover. If it takes half an hour of rearranging the room, guests drift outside, and getting them back rarely works.
A transformable space lets the evening be planned so that one part flows into the next instead of starting again. The lighting follows the running order rather than staying at dinner settings all night.
